Wendy Webb Schoenewald

Wendy is the owner of
her own private practice physical therapy center, which she specializing
in Orthopedic, Geriatric, and Vestibular rehabilitation. With
over 21 years in the physical therapy field, Wendy has worked with a
wide range of diagnoses in hospital, outpatient, aquatic, and home settings. She
has an extensive post graduate training in Orthopedic and Vestibular
Rehabilitation. In March of 2000, she received a Certificate of
Competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation at the University of Miami. In
August 2001 she received a Certificate of Competency in Vestibular Test
Interpretation at Emory University. In July 2003 she received a renewal
Certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation at Emory University. In March
2005 she received a Certificate of Orthopaedic Certified Specialist.
Wendy has been a speaker on Vestibular issues to the public and in professional
seminars for physical therapists.
Dedicated to the advancement of the field of Vestibular Rehabilitation, she has been asked to teach at the yearly Vestibular Rehabilitation Competency at Emory University held by Susan Herdmann PhD,PT,DPT and Richard Clendaniel PhD, PT ,DPT of Duke University for the past 3 years.She has joined Ann Galgon PhD DPT PT at Newman College in Ashton for a yearly Vestibular Rehabilitation course for PTA's studying to become PT's. She is involved with a local Vestibular Special Interest Group for local Physical Therapists. She also is involved lecturing locally for regional seminars for PT's,PTA's , Nurse Practioners and PT students
Prior to becoming an owner of her physical
therapy center, Wendy was the Clinical Director for 2 years at Aquatic
Physical Therapy Center. She
also served as Clinical Director for Doylestown Rehabilitation and Sports
Medicine Center from 1990 through 1995. Wendy is an active member
of the APTA, PPTA, VEDA, PPTA SED of Bucks County. She initiated
and currently runs a local special interest group for networking and
education of physical therapists since 1997. Wendy is also involved
with starting a local Menieres support group, and a support group for
patients with dizziness and balance disorders. She also provides continuing
education to Physical Therapists in the Tri-State area on Vestibular
Rehabilitation.
Wendy received her bachelor of science in physical therapy
at University of Delaware in 1985. She has completed many post
graduate educational programs including Sahrman’s Movement Systems
in Balance, McKenzie Approach, Maitland Orthopedic. She is a mother
of two girls and resides in Bucks County, PA.
